AMC Slams MoviePass and Threatening Legal Action
Subscribers can watch a daily movie and pay only $ 9.95 for
a month. Perhaps this is an interesting news, but it leads to strong legal
disputes between the parties involved. MoviePass is using a plan to raise funds from sales to cover
its pricing model. It will allow customers to watch a movie every day in the
theater for $ 9.95 a month.
AMC Theatres has threatened MoviePass with a lawsuit. Why ?
the largest theater chain in the US " AMC" was
strongly suggested that the MoviePass model was unsustainable.
It is clear from this point of view that this is quite a
sensitive issue that affects the revenue of the movie theater and the factors
involved in investing in new films.
AMC's stock has been hit hard in recent weeks after it
announced disappointing quarterly earnings. So lowering the plan for 2017 is
almost a compulsory measure.
